Capital Goose was founded with a single goal: to make business funding fast, transparent, and accessible for entrepreneurs everywhere. What started as a quick conversation on a basketball court turned into a mission to transform how small businesses connect with capital.

Our Story

Kenneth Mickens, our CEO and Founder, is a Pepperdine University alumnus with a background in finance and a passion for helping business owners overcome funding roadblocks. He knows firsthand how difficult it can be to secure financing—and is committed to making the process faster and smarter.

Karon Ford, our CTO and Co-Founder, is a University of Nebraska alumnus with a degree in Computer Science and a deep focus in cybersecurity. With a strong technical background and a commitment to building secure, scalable systems, Karon leads the AI development behind Capital Goose’s smart underwriting engine.

On July 4th, 2024, the two met by chance on Karon’s wedding day—at a local basketball court. That unexpected moment sparked the idea for Capital Goose: a platform that merges financial expertise with cutting-edge technology to help founders get funded with ease and confidence.

Together, Kenneth and Karon bridge finance and tech to empower business owners with real-time prequalification, automated underwriting, and a seamless connection to the right lenders.
